A depth well sounder is used to measure the height of water in a well, explains Randy Krag of Beckstoffer Vineyards” “In order to manage our water resources, we have to know if the water table is changing. We have to know if we’re pumping sustainably. Of course it’s going to change with seasons, from the spring time to the fall, but then does it recharge adequately by the time we start the next irrigation season next spring?”
