Savings Bank Steps Up to Help
Savings Bank is proud to be an Affiliate Sponsor of the Lake County Winegrape Commission.
This past year, Lake County endured the third worst wildfire in California history. Savings Bank and its employees quickly joined the fire recovery efforts alongside others in the surrounding communities by collecting and contributing monetary donations as well as volunteering in various capacities. One way Savings Bank responded was with a $20,000 donation to the #LakeCountyRising campaign which was established by the Lake County Winegrape Commission, Lake County Winery Association, and Lake County Wine Alliance.
Additionally, Savings Bank is waiving the 2 percent Construction Loan fee through March 2017 for qualified applicants obtaining a construction loan to rebuild a structure that was damaged or destroyed by the 2015 Lake County fires.
“Immediate and long-term support is needed in Lake County as a result of the devastating fires,” says Savings Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Scott Yandell. “As the local community bank, we are committed to providing ongoing support.”
Savings Bank also takes great pride in their continued partnership with the Lake County Winegrape Commission’s Master Vigneron Academy®. Through this program, Savings Bank Loan Officers Jose Cardenas Ortiz and Sid Harper provide vineyard supervisors with an overview of the banking system as well as products and services offered by the bank. A variety of loans are explained. They include commercial financing for term loans and lines of credit. This program helps vineyard supervisors understand their roles and responsibilities while providing them with knowledge they need to achieve sustainable farming.
